Photos from the Gold Coast
Here are some shots I took at the Gold Coast Indy. I only have a low-end camera (a Fuji S5600), and this was my first motor-racing event with it.
The confines of the Surfers Paradise circuit, and the 6 foot wire fences everywhere made it very challenging to shoot. Nice photos, and you'll be surprised how little a difference the camera really makes - providing you've got enough telephoto to ensure the cars appear as more than dots.
I've been very happy with some of the pictures I've taken at race meets with my cheap old Fuji S3000 - and to be honest, swapping to an S9500 hasn't really made much difference, except in so far as the 9MP pictures give me more cropping options. |
