Difficult to say Zanardi, because he had a podium potential seat at Williams and failed to score a single point. Imagine what Tarquini could have done in that seat at his peak. Notwithstanding his natural talent and Champ Car successes, he at least had a chance.
Personally, I'd go for Geoff Lees, a criminally wasted talent; Formula 2 champion, 7th on his GP debut in a Tyrrell, got a Theodore onto the grid in 1983 in a one-off drive with no testing, Sports Car winner and within an ace of winning Le Mans. |

Badoer is at least one of the best drivers in question; indeed he has the dubious record of most races contested without scoring a single point (top 6 finish).
Ferrari should repay Luca for his loyalty to them and give him the chance to do at least 1 race for Ferrari (whenever the opportunity arises). |

Bobby Rahal for mine, a guy with his talent could've done anything in the world of F1 in the right circumstances.

I say Martin Donnelly. Sadly his career ended in a big accident.
Zanardi, Badoer and Dalmas are also high in my list. |

Bobby Rahal:confused: ,he drove in the Formula Atlantic series here in '78 as team mate with Keke Rosberg,in identical cars Rosberg made him look second rate,infact even the top Kiwi drivers looked better.He might have gone OK in CART,but F1 superstar?,never.

Tom DNQ'd because of the loose spark plug wires. In all honesty, the guy was good, in the rain he could be quite stunning, by all accounts... But I don't think he _ever_ was of the same class of driver as Zanardi. |

The best one I think it´s Zanardi;
But there´re two sucessful guys in F1 which didn´t start any race,but tried to, in the 50s: Bernie Ecclestone and Colin Chapman Last edited by F1naWeb; 23 Apr 2003 at 00:57. |
