There are several on sale with camping passes and a pair for £185 at dunlop, but the ACO has just released tickets on the new TR grandstand so you can still get them direct

The guy posted a link on pistonhead, obviously the seller of all the tickets. trying to drum up business, who ever pays that sort of money for tickets still available else where at cost should be certified as insane

The problem is Simon, that there are a lot of people who don't know better - newbies and others who just don't bother to do their research. Maybe they think it's F1 and that the more you pay for a ticket the better it's going to be......

i could understand to some extent, but these people buying tickets are already using the internet and are therefore not without the ability to do a little research

That said this is an insane level of gouging - which overall gives the event a bad name - deeply depressing if they end up paying that sort of money. |

Over 250,000 people attended the race last year. A tiny proportion of them bought their tickets on eBay. On the basis of that it's hard to accept that overall the event has a bad name at all, let one alone for association with eBay. Turn up at any major concert and you have to wade through a crowd of touts - I've yet to notice a tout at le Mans. |

I'd guess a huge amount of tickets sold and people hanging on to them.

Yep, early days yet. I predict we will see a rush of tickets appearing on eBay for both good and no so good reasons in the next few weeks.

Are you becoming bored in your retirement Simon, and time moving too slow?

No, he's OK. He only spends 23 hours a day on the internet now. Cutting down. He still has an hour a day left to deal with less important things......

Thing is about tickets is that to be in with a chance of a good spot (or to keep your name on "the list", so to speak) you have to commit early. Some people's plans change I guess, and some try to make money on that.
Speaking of which, probably going to have some Tertre Rouge spares again... If there's anyone who's particularly deserving and wants them at cost – holla! |

dave, i'll take one off your hands. team bella's homeless at the moment aside from a couple of grandstand seats which won't be much use for parking the car and tent
