kartingdad has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
No WRC round for the UK?

I see that the Welsh Police in conjunction with the MSA have put into question the 'Rally of Wales', the event that is a pathetic shadow of the old RAC rally, through their greedy fleecing of the motorist.

The FIA still have concerns over the safety of the roads. If they thought it was busy in November, wait till September, when joe public will be cluttering up the roads as well.

Quite frankly, I think the rally should be based in Manchester, with stages in the lakes, yorkshire and N. Wales all within easy reach.

Still, cardiff paid the msa the dosh to hold it in S. Wales so well done the MSA. WHat happened to common sense?

Well done boyos.

The problem is that to make the WRC more commercial, they have made all of the rounds more compact. Most events now have one central service area. More inportant for them one cental media centre. This means that as much as we loved the old RAC it ain't going to happen.
Much as it pains me to say it most of the other classic rally GB areas would be even more congested than South Wales.
So like it or not under the present system looks like we are stuck with it.
Thankfully there are still plenty of good club rallies going on.
