  • Embassy will focus on their Radical Judd for the rest of the season instead of the Pilbeam
  • a lot of teams have made changes to better cooling, after overheating problems at Monza
  • the LMP2 Dome is a converted LMP1, because of lack of time and budget to build a proper LMP2 car; therefore the car is a bit heavy and the bodywork is not completely adapted to the smaller tyres; the car was only delivered to T2M on Wednesday, so it did not have a shakedown yet
  • some changes in livery

The 2 Saleen are running way much quicker than the other GT1s. Does anyone have an explanation for this?

The pace of the Pugs is increasing. The only cars into 1:26 at the moment. They are looking very strong.

And especially with Alex Yoong driving it


I hope the Lola-Audi of Swiss-Spirit can increase again its pace during the 2nd free practice

According to DSC the Chad Peninsula Panoz had a substantial fire during the first session.

Free Practice 1 and 2 have been interesting but some teams (in all classes) didn't push hard.

I'm satisfied with Pescarolo, maybe they have reduced the gap to Peugeot (#16 1. 26. 969 and #7 1. 25. 906) but will see.

Barazi Zytek and RML Lola were very impressive (1. 27. 422, and 1. 27. 500).

And Peugeot, as ever, devasting the rest competitors...I'm going to pray to Olympic gods for prevent their victory on Sunday

I am very impressed with the Racing Box Saleen. It's certainly not the also-ran it looked to be before the season started. Does anyone know where they bought there car from? Is it an Oreca-built car, if so, that speaks volumes about the job they've done with the car.

It is an Oreca prepped car! I also believe that it might be a lease(rental) from Oreca.?
