He gonna end up in jail if he continues goin' sneakin' around like that. Hate to say it, but the car is very Viperish in look. Good blend of American muscle with European cut. Future Le Mans overall winner?

awegrzyn has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Hate to say it, but it's a picture of a C5. And btw, I hate the C5. I think they destored the GTS class with that car.

actually if u look closely u can see the headlights of the new C6 road car. besdies there is no need for GM to shroud a C5-R like that, all the major development for the C5-R has been done, it makes no sense for GM to be so cautious in covering up a C5. and remember before GM entered the world challenge with it's cadillaic CTS-V it already started testing the CTS-V a full year before it made it's debut

No it's a C6R, and it was testing today at Road America. I'm not sure how you propose that the C5R killed GTS though.

Don't hate to say it, we've all our "favourites"... mine is "butt ugly" for most of members (Lola B2K40)

Did you see the Vettes at LM those last years, during their dogfight with the Oreca Vipers or the 550s ?

I have heard from a few people who are at the tests. They believe the car to be the C6R.

The C6R has to test eventually awegrzyn. So why not now?

I'm glad to see that the next generation Corvette has hit the track. Whether it's the complete car, or just parts. Either way, GM has to keep moving forward. Especially considering the new Astons and Lambos. And we still haven't seen the full potential of the 575's. The Corvette team can't rest on the their laurels.

Thanks for the support, gttouring and shady !

For the Vette, I have to admit that we had very few comments against it last years...

Hope you'll appreciate the C6R though, awegrzyn...

More pics and hints about the car are welcome !

On the track, in the dogfights, they're very impressive to see and hear, and the crowd always cheer those beauties, usualy... that's why I wanted to know if you saw them "in the flesh"...

Hey, I know, It's my fault, but back to the Vette, please : give at least your opinion about the C5 !

It's still difficult to have an idea of the C6 on the pics above...

Or maybe our american members who saw the car ?

I work for GM, and I have "sneak" pictures from the C6 unvieling (we posted them with our Ron Fellows interview in Dec 2003). Ron told us at that time they had no intention of using the C6 in 2004 as there was no point (at that time). I haven't heard anything different.. yet. When I get to work tomorrow, I shall make some enquiries.

The C6 - R has to be ready by the start of next season as the current C5-R's are going to be sold ( 1 or 2 ?) to a team in Europe to race in FIA GT

From what I have seen of the Corvette C6, the front has been revised dramatically (I think it looks more like a Viper or Ferrari) and the rear area of the greenhouse and the rear window seem to go much farther back onto the rear deck...much more of a "fastback" look to it...

I'm not much of a Corvette fan, but I think the new C6 is a design and aesthetic improvement over previous models....
