Exhaust Paint

Hi

Could you recommend a good exhaust paint?

I have used the very high temperature spray paints on my single seater exhaust, but they are quite thin and do not last a season, especially if there have been a few wet races.
I have tried buying high temperature, brush on, paints from hard-ware stores but they the one I brought was not high temperature enough.
Zirconium is too expensive and I can not get into the nooks and crannies, to clean the rust off, enough to nickel plate it.

Regards

Richard

Best to get the exhaust blasted first, have you ever tried Halfords HT Paint? Had some very good results with it but you do need to follow the instructions.

Thanks for the advice.

I presume you mean the brush on VHT paint that they sell in mat black or red.
I would prefer brush on as you get a much thicker coat.

I will give it a go.

High temp paint

Ive tried various high temp paints and have found bbq paint seems to last best.

Good luck
