The new blue Pescy was testing at Le Mans on Monday
http://www.lemans.org/24heuresdumans...photos_gb.html Sorry if this has already been covered. Cannot wait for the weekend. I wish I was at Monza obviously but sitting in front of the TV and watching 20 odd hours of Motorsport will make up for it (a little)!!! |

I love to see the 997's painted up, too many in ALMS so far are too plain. Love the Martinin like stripes on the James Watt car and the Perrier car looks beautiful!
I also really like Kruse's Pescarolo, although it needs more trimming colors. I love the shape of these cars. |

Yep, the JWA car has that Martini look of yore. I still think the Barazi-Epsilon car needs a big old Gulf emblem on the nose.I really like the Embassy black w/ white. But so far out of all in the gallery I like the Chad Panoz the most!

Just over an hour before the cars hit the track for the first practice session!
No sign of live timing being available for the practice sessions however......... |

I found live timing via endurance info forums:
http://www.ris-timing.be/ Charouz Lola currently fastest followed by both Peugeots. |

Very early days, but the Charouz Lola looks ominously quick for such a new car!

No. But after listening Erdos's interview on tuesday on Radio Le Mans I think they try to get the updates soon.

Judd vs. AER
Very early on it still looks like the Judd is the better engine compared to the AER.
I did not expect the Charouz Lola to be out front after practice. |

This is very interesting. Where did the #7 Pug get that speed in the last sector? Over 4 seconds faster than anyone else. Or is it just a timing glitch? That whole thing seems a bit flawed. here are cars where the "ideal" time is slower than their fastest time. |

Free Practice 1
Free Practice 2 Peugeot quickest by almost a second by the end of the first two practice sessions, but Charouz have definitely announced themselves as serious rivals to Pescarolo for 'best petrol'. The honours for that crown in LMP1 this year should be totally absorbing! Does anyone know what happened to the Oreca Saleen which completed just 3 laps in Free Practice 2? They're not looking like serious challengers to the factory Corvettes and Aston Martins come June at the moment........ |

A serious fire in the pitlane after refueling hose broke on LAA C5-R stopped the second practice session. Two crew members suffered burns and were taken to hospital. Pictures and details on DSC.

Hopefully the mechanics and all others are okay.
I wonder if this might force the damaged car, if not the entire Luc Alphand team, to withdraw. |
