I think we`re really coming to a point where LMP1 is becoming a manufacturers-only class.

Race Performance have supported the race for the last few years but don't bring a lot of 'excitement' to the table IMO.

I can see why they were passed over but I think they'll get in.

I'm getting so tired of all those Oreca - Nissans! Couldn't they just skip 2 of them and add the Oreca - Judd from Race Performance and Lola B11/40 - Judd from DKR Engineering?

That's the point, if we get to anything half as good as 2011 was, who will even care about the LMP1 privateers?

I much rather have two strong factory efforts fighting for the overall win than one factory and 10 privateers who can't even come close in terms of speed.

In practical terms though, LMP1 is no weaker than it has been... it really is just about the factory entries, and that is just as strong as it has been. Great to see the other cars out there though. I think overall this is a very strong LM grid, love to go there.

Totally. LMP1 grid could be stronger, but only in terms of privateers.


GT-Pro in the WEC, but especially at Le Mans with two Corvettes and two Vipers, will be awesome.
