Good! As a fan of the class I would prefer to see them at the CAMS Nationals than with V8 Supercars.Looking forward to Oran Park and Eastern Creek to finish a great season off.

Kerri, I did not mean you were on the wrong tangent- on the contrary- your posts were relevent.I was referring to comment that was about Victorian state racing-- not to be confused with national goings on.

If you found a race meeting in England with anything like full grids, you were very lucky.

We may only have one ASA, but with a number of clubs running often conflicting championships, several circuits now setting up their own meetings, and several promoted meetings trying to cream off other bits, the structure here is a total mess. Often there can be 8 meetings running within a 200km radius, all chasing the same cars and marshals. Since the circuits keep the gate money, no-one seems very interested in whether any spectators come or not.

That's slightly off topic, but it does show that a single ASA can fail to run things properly, I sympathise with you having two competing bodies. Regardless of the right and wrongs of either side of the argument, long term, it can't be healthy/

wolley, one side looks after the upper echelon of motorsport, the other looks after the bottom end, the battlers

Can anyone say if AMRS is considering adding a date for Lakeside?

A lot of work will have to be done before it is race ready.A lot less for club type sprint days . I would doubt if it would be race ready next year but at least it is another race track and it does have a future - not just a past.
As for V-8's- highly unlikely and who cares. The entire rest of the motorsport world will be gratefull to see actrion back on the track. The best bit-- it is unlikely that Cams are going to get a look in.
