for the purists out there - bye bye Golf
but hello Porsche
Stuart Scott and Steve Wood have bought themselves a GT3 to race in the GT Cup. They had their first run out in it on Friday and both agreed it was the best thing they have ever driven. But it won't be the end of the golf - that will hopefully be making an appearance or two next year |

Saw that over on DSC the other day. Here is the Golf enjoying a nice day out at Rockingham, before it retired.

If the same prep values are applied to the Porker as they were the Golf that's the '04 Cup Class sewn up

I know it was a Touring Car, I do, really I do; and maybe it is because I am from a VW family, but I really thought this was a cool car. For one thing, they did a splendid job on the appearance, with the color and the graphics.
Bet the plain looking Porsche will benefit from the same sort of treatment. What is also really cool is the upcoming show schedule for SpeedTV shows British GT Series on Saturday at 4 Eastern, following three more hours of SCCA Runoffs. Wheeeeeeeee! Robert |

Looks like a 911cup not a GT3RSR.

You're right Patrick - 911 GT3 Cup.
Stuart is very good at designing cars - their colour, logo placement etc. His beetle with the Union Jack bonnet, Porsche 944 with Virgin Atlantic and the GulfAir Golf. |

The Golf has been asked to appear at Autosport International
next month so it's not going to retire quietly!! The Porsche should also be there. |
