LM24 Le Mans Photo's

We have all of a sudden found 100's of Le Mans photo's. These are Nordic's and my own. These go back to 1978, although quality on some can be poor, some are quite good.

If you have a fav car please let me know and I will post or e mail. Some are quite obscure cars that I am having problems identifiying so please state car no, car colour, year and drivers and will have a look. Also covered are FF, some F1, some Saloons/Supersaloons, Sports at Brands and Silverstone, and Spa.

I am also looking for a site to post all the pic's on so if you have space let me know, otherwise I'll start me own site.

Sorry no photo's of engines. There was a few but they tend to date from the early 80's. Most are photo's of cars on track.

There are several options available for free photo hosting.

photo.net is a technique and critique sight but does not limit the amount of space.

I am looking for pictures of some of the cars danish drivers have competed in at Le Mans. The following are the cars I don't have any pictures of, I hope you do have some of them in your collection....

1/2 dozen in the mail tonight, MIG's in the pits, New Man Porsche, Road Dauer 962, Mystery Car, Campsite GP.

You say they go back to '78, but until when?

Other faves:-

88 Shell Porsche
Any McLarens
Renown/Charge Mazdas

Anything really - any nice scenic shots, particularly of the "real" Mulsanne or Dunlop Curve (and no, I don't want to open up that line of argument again!).

You've no idea what the "mystery car" is? I'm intrigued!

The best photo's seem to be 80 - 84 then 88 - 90 in terms of coverage. I think that all you asked for is there. No Aston's then ?

91 was one of the lean years, Kodak or Stella must have been expensive that year. I think I've seen a few though, I'll e mail to the pie eaters direct.

All I've found so far is a single photo, I'm sure there is a few more, even if only in the background.

Have you seen my post in the Historics about the race and chassis no.? is it correct? It would be a lot easier if I knew what to look for.

Car numbers.... 19 and 20 appear to have been the norm in most cases from what I know.

If sponsorship helps then recurrences seem to include Rizla, Penthouse and Marukatsu.

Thanks Paul, any more clues will be welcome, some photo's do not show the car number so sponser, car colour is important

I will have a good search Thursday. The photo's are not really in any order, I need to identify one car to get the year for the pack.

A few people have offered space on their website, I will post links once they are all up and running.

Yes, motor racing Retro is the best picture reference site on the web. I treasure all the CD's I have gotten from Franco. Without Franco, alot of these priceless images would be lost.

I'm trying to get Franco to do a group c/GTP disc. Doesn't everyone here want one?
