Megatron should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
A somewhat "nice" looking Daytona Prototype?

OK, so it borrows its bodwork heavily from the Mosler, but the Chase is the best looking DP so far (not that that is a difficult thing to accomplish). This car actually looks like...an actual car and not some oversized Camel Lights car.

Nicer than some I've seen. Reminds me of a mid-80's C2.

Yes, it's quite attractive... despite the lack of painting... much better than the previous issues for DPs anyway. To be continued !

it is rather nice sporscardaily.net has a thread on this too- My feeling was that this is the car Mosler built in the first place. His MT900 is a 900 kilo chevy ppowered thing with that bodywork, GA rules put weight on his race creation, at 2450 over his 1980lbs from the street version!
so a 2000lbs tube frame (vs. monocoque in his car i belive) is a great compromise to get the shape of his car out in the public, winning all the time- which i bet it will win a fair bit. I am sure suspension and other proven bit from the FiA Moslers are in the car too.

It's a good looking car, I agree, BUT...the DP design is flawed in that the driver's leg is exposed to lower front A-arm pentration in event of a collision. I don't care for this oversight of basic safety.

The proportions still look way off.

It's a very common shape, but far better than the others.
Simple shapes usually give a high aerodynamic efficiency.
Good effort. It reminds me too the C2's.

The only thing the chase has in common with the Mosler MT900, is the initial body work. Chase did their own suspension.

slicktsax has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
well we'll see how good it looks when it's all finished and painted. the paint job is important to making the car look good. i still think the Doran JE4 is the best looking one out there

I think the Chase only borrows the bodywork from the Mosler, everything else is Chase. They did this to reduce the cost and attract buyers, considering that the Mosler bodywork was proabably pretty good aerowise.

Chevy might be in the first chassis, but other engines are avaliable for it and one has been confirmed (which is not in the current DP engine catagory) as potenially being in a chassis in the future.

It will be a Chevy, and it's supposed to be at the Daytona Finale. I think the shape is very much like the FABCAR's. Should this car, and Essex's Multimatic make delivery, we'll have at least two of every engine in the race. The future is now.
