i am sure the area will be open for the main event and the classic and then they will start to landscape it with grass trees etc together with disabled access to meet modern regulations

I was explained that they began to sow in the camping area especially in the left side in the video but it is not actually significative.

Grass grows very quickly at this time of year - my lawn is living proof! I would expect there to be plenty of grass in eight weeks time if they've already seeded the area. |

The problem is really that those area's are only used 2/3 times a year so expensive changes were always going to be low on the priority list, but as the whole area is being re done then even french more lax regulations will insist disabled access is included. It should be easier for everyone with the demise of those steep banks and dodgy steps

The Indianapolis/Arnage area wasn't my favourite spot, been there only once. But I think it looks much better now. It looks like it's easier to take photo's now.

Yep we have always had problems getting my friend up to the top of the bank with his disability but usually make it with help of the people around. So a decent ramp/slow incline will be welcome

SAFER barrier installed on the outside of the first left in the Porsche Curves. Considering the very limited run-off there, this is probably the very best option (considering how well this type of barrier works on superspeedways). |

We'll need to get Eric, our roving Le Mans reporter out there again with his camera!

So new asphalt runoff just where I predicted, *right side* of Indianapolis .
Has Arnage asphalt been extended a bit as well, or are my eyes deceiving me? Last edited by Deleted; 12 May 2016 at 16:36. |

The organisers are making out like this has improved the viewing so we'll see. Very intrigued to see what it's like.
Might be a bit like Tertre Rouge? Where changes hurt the character of the circuit but improved viewing. |

There was already asphalt at Indianapolis. It's just larger now. Even though a driver is not punished by a gravel trap, he loses time after having gone off. And less gravel on the track means less punctures for others.

Let's consider the positive bit about this change: the spectator viewing area does look to have been extended all the way to the right-hander before Indianapolis. |
