Friday 8th is on the form as "PM testing", so I'm taking an educated guess that that translates to night practice - as was the case before the recent bank holiday 3 day meetings. |

And for the first time in many years falls on a weekend when all the planets are in line & the moon is a nice turquoise colour, meaning I can make a return trip to Norfolk for the fun & games!

We moved the race to this date in the vain hope that when it rains the rain will be warm rather than the bitterly cold variety we have all endured for the last two years.
As we have night qualifying on friday night (and therefore no drinkies until very late) we had wondered about having a post race celebration ,instead of the pre race BBQ, on sunday evening .Do you think this would work or do you think most of the marshals will leave once the race has finished. Paul. |

I must say that despite the weather last year I enjoyed my 1st 24 hour race and the hospitality provided by the 2CV guys was exceptional and most welcomed. This years 24hr will Stephanies first venture to 'the Bank' after 2 years in assembly. is there any fire training prior to this years event that Stephanie could participate in inorder to achieve her pft signature that untill then her age prevents her getting, this will give Steph the final signature to upgrade from trainee to specialist |

Personally, I think this would work quite well, I know that a number a people usually stay over anyway, and quite a few live a not too far away. After the generosity you showed at the end of last year's event, it would be a nice opportunity to give you some back. Nick. |

Just wondering if there are any plans in the future to have more than one 24 hr race or even at a different circuit ?

It was one of the most memorable of the eighteen 24hr races i have done ,the engine breaking at the start, the rain, the mud, the oil on the circuit ,the rain ,the lake in the bomb hole and the river running into it, best of all sideways around coram at 70mph oh ,and all three cars in the top 6 .Magic. Although i'm still getting digs from snet about the quagmire that was their grass by the time we had finished. There won't be any Pistonfest this year, so the paddock should be a lot quieter than the last two years . Paul |

Paul,
I know all the Snet regulars are really looking forward to the "event of the year" and hopefully all will be trying to keep out of the sun rather than sheltering from the rain this time!!! But hey - whatever the weather it's still great fun all the way through the weekend. Be great to see you all back there. With regard to your question re the post race celebration it would be more likely with the event being in the middle of summer that more people would stay a little later on the Sunday night to join in, however there will always be those that may have to leave asap due to distances to travel and early work starts the next day. Roll on August!! Terry |

Still laughing about all the cars spinning at Riches on Sunday morning, no damage done fortunately. Even race control had to check if it was all true! gachjoel, There was some talk about moving it to Pembrey, when they've built a bridge over the circuit. |

I heard that rumour aswell,i know there was talk about a footbridge being built at the crossover. But i also heard that that an actual vehicle bridge was not being built due to the cost. But like i say,its all hearsay |

A footbridge was all we had at mondello,so i guess that would be enough and then barc can take the circuit rent instead of msv .I believe this would be the preferred option unless the "new" circuit appears at snetterton Ho Ho.
