Jared should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Two questions:

1) Where can I find a copy of the Group C rules from the late 1980's or early 1990's?

2) Was the 24 Hours of Le Mans covered in the U.S. before Speedvision was created? As a child in the late 80's, I remember watching a prototype race and I believe that it was at Le Mans, because I remember a really long straightaway. Did ESPN or anyone show portions of the race?

Any info would be appreciated.

Prior to SV....

..there was only a highlites show on ESPN about a week or two after the race. Prior to ESPN....you would buy a Sunday NY Times and hope there was something there about LeMans in the sports section.

I feel like my father telling the "we walked 5 miles in the snow to get to school" story!

Thanks, Mr. Shadow.

Now, one other question. I got hooked on road racing around 1995, right around the time ESPN2 started covering the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring. For Daytona, they would show the first 3 hours, and then the last 6 hours of the race. For Sebring, they would show sporadic coverage throughout the day, covering about 5-6 hours of the race.

So, (finally getting to the actual question) before ESPN2, how much of both races would ESPN show?

And any info on question No. 1 would be appreciated.
