IMHO they dont have race drivers with the right attitude.
They could do better with drivers who are williing to drive for alot less and have more to prove. Currently one is good at qualy but average in race pace and the other just mucks about and uses every excuse under the sun to justify his poor performance.

I expect better decisions from Toyota management in the future.

Too harsh on Trulli if you ask me - and no words are too harsh for Ralf of late!

Schumacher said that Ferrari are struggling to find a decent setup at Istanbul.

However things began to improve towards the end of the day, when the track cleaned up.

Ralf's bagged some useful points the last few races - more than Jarno in fact

fined for speeding in the pitlane:

"That's a quick way to spend $7000!" JV grinned, "It's driver error. If the button's not working, the team pays, if the finger of the driver is not working, then the driver pays…"

I will miss you should the vultures succeed...

It's indeed very difficult for me not to allude to JV in my posts. Damn it, I've done it again.

P.S. VilleneuveTracy where are you?

In broad terms, things seem to be much the same in this session as the others.

BAR finished 2nd and 5th

Sato looks fast. I hope his fast in the final 6 races. Then maybe he will keep his seat at BAR.

I think Montoya, Räikkönen, Alonso or Button will win the race.

BAR are dong a good job, but it is kind of more like where one feels they should be...

Williams have surprised me.......the rumour mill will start about BMW reviously detuning things no doubt.......It will be intersting to see how they get on come the real stuff.

Ferrari are not looking too great, if things continue in this manner then snagging points of any description would be very nice.

It seems there is potential for an interesting mix up front, leaving the Mclaren/Kimi vs Renault/Alonso battle in an intriguing situation.

the break between the sessions is filled pretty nice here.
station shows a replay of the 1986 Mexico GP. This sweet black John Player Lotus and this yellow helmet

As far as 3rd session goes Williams & BAR are a surprise. the reds have to find something if they wanna get into points.
let´s see what will happen at the end of 4th session.

You think the session surprised with regards the Williams and BAR postions? Interesting, I didn't think they were that out of place really (in the context of this weekend).

Rules about tyres in practice?

There are no restrictions until the start of qualifying, at which point it becomes one set. i think they have to have their compound chosen by 9am on Saturday?

I might be getting confused, but i cannot be bothered to hunt through the regs.

thanks dutton.

just a bit curious about the lack of times till well into some of the sessions - wondered if they were waiting for others to put some rubber down or something.
