driftwood has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
LOL !! i did not think the french had a sense of humour !
on another note do you have any idea what car the Andre Chevally Lola was in the 79 80 81 period called the ACR? it has his own white body over a lola chassis
i cannot find out if it is a 2 litre T390 car fitted with DFV or a car he built
in the fotos i have of the car it has the T380 390 monocoque/ front wheel arch shape

I have tried to email him but he is not english speaker ( swiss french) and things have got lost in translation

Delbert should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Lola has arrived and looks like they have done a good job of the rebuild. Will now spend the winter getting her to look like she did in the good old days and putting the correct engine in!

Yes BMW is for sale - fresh rebuild (yes really) the engine builder is interested in having it back (will be a well travelled engine).
Why change - because it was not the correct engine in period (and we know where that thread goes don't we!) also Ford's are more resilient and easier to replace should the unthinkable happen.

Is that the pedal that would have won Le Mans if it had been fitted to the right car that year?

BMW - Is this is serious enquiry or just tyre kicking?

Just been reading Autosport May 1974 article on Crowne racing Lola T292 car
Keith Greene Crown Racing team manger reports he was in talks with Tecno to supply a motor but after months of inactivety he has sold the car for a ludicrusly low price to Italy
I found in late 73 AS the adverts for the T292 for sale

also in Feb 7 1974 AS is Ecurie Bonnier advert selling
1 T290 red body
1 T290 blue body
1 T280 yellow body ( assume this is Hu1 as HU2 was destroyed in Bonniers LM crash

Ecurie Bonnier also had T280 HU4, ex-BIP, at this time. However, the yellow body implies it is HU1 as you say.

I have just noticed that the pics I posted have gone. Is this some copyright thing with Phot bucket?

For what it is worth the car is coming along nicely and we have most of the decals on the bodywork and the engine is nearly ready. Hopefully be out testing in March

I've noted that pics through photobucket disappear after a while. It's maybe like Imageshack; my pics disappear, if they haven't been viewed by anyone for 12 months.

Don't have that problem with Facebook. There are some websites where for a fee you can get unlimited space plus the company will sell your photos and you get monthly cheques as applicable - again these don't get wiped!
