Not for the main show - but Martin Brundle will race with United Autosports in the Road To Le Mans support race - effectively taking his son Alex's ELMS seat.
http://sportscar365.com/lemans/elms/...-support-race/ I might be reading too much into it but could this mean Alex has a seat in the LM24? Perhaps at Krohn where he's raced previously? |

Alex Brundle would be an asset to any team in LMP2!

Thanks to DSC we know that Andrea Bertolini and Andrea Pier Guidi will likely be the third drivers in the AF Corse cars. Albeit we don't know which ones. I'd have to assume that with it being Pier Guidi's Le Mans debut he'd be in the #71. But that's just a hunch.
Risi third man still TBC - http://www.dailysportscar.com/2016/0...s-drivers.html |

More GT news from DSC. Wolf Henzler will remain in the #78 GT-Am Proton Porsche for LM. He had initially been down in the #77 Pro car.
So as the article says, there's still a space to be filled in each car. http://www.dailysportscar.com/2016/0...ock-notes.html |

Nice to have those updates.
As an aside, I also like the fact that teams can mix up their tyre types, unlike in other series where EVERYTHING MUST BE THE SAME. |

Pretty crazy to think that after 20 consecutive years we probably won't be seeing Olivier Beretta at Le Mans this year.
A few other guys hanging on in there though with some great runs: Emmanuel Collard (will be his 21st consecutive) Jan Magnussen (18th consecutive) Romain Dumas (16th consecutive) Oliver Gavin (16th consecutive) Jorg Bergmeister (15th consecutive) |

With pretty much everything now sorted - I'm pretty intrigued to see who gets put into the #77 Pro Porsche.
From what I can see, despite the third P1 not running, all 16 Factory Pilots are in the race. My best guess would be the most experienced Porsche Junior, Sven Muller. They ran him at Spa last year as a one-off and he's had an almost perfect start to Carerra Cup Deutschland this year. |

Apparently it's Phillip Eng in the #77 and Joel Camathias in the #78.

Eng definitely deserves a chance in WEC. Defending Supercup and two-time defending Carrera Cup Germany champion. He's legit. There's a big argument to say sportscar fans should be watching these championships. The conversion rate of champions to sportscar works drivers is incredible. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsch...ra_Cup_Germany https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_Supercup |

Glad Eng's got the drive. As you said, he's got the skills.
I'm a little surprised though, as he's moved over to BMW for GTs. Either he's not a BMW factory driver as I thought he was, or they're happy to loan him out. |
