So I'll take a 'spirit' bottle of fresh Muscadet for you !

We'll have to plan the thing : any news about the practice ? Should be on saturday... two days on the spot, he ?

The Village should be pretty empty, but I hope the Paddock Bar we'll be open...

JP be quiet about Tertre Rouge, it may not close until next year (I bet you a chilled bottle of champagne)...

... we will succeed to find a bar inside, not obligatory the Paddock Bar. And we also will find some in town...

It promises to be quite different than the 24H, and I'm already afraid to not refind the same magic and atmosphere.

Kpy, any AH stand in november ?

Unlikely for a stand, but the boss asked me today if I want to go - so I'll have the right passes.
Flambadou a must for the Saturday night!

pre-qualifying has a different feel also, but i quite like it. hopefully this event will take on its own feel...i mean we wouldn't really want or expect it at this time of year on the baby circuit.

It's a shame this event is not planned to stay for next years : could be another good date...

Well, let's enjoy what we have in 2003...

Questions:

From watching the Moto24Hrs., the Bugatti circuit looks like a high-downforce circuit, with the exception of the main straight (at least on TV it looks that way)....is that true, or is it just a perception?

If true, the horsepower and set-ups for the usual Le Mans may be totally out the window.....will we see dive planes on the front of the LMPs? What about wing heights and settings??? Does the Bugatti circuit give someon like Pescarolo (with their revised aero package for this year) a more even playing field with the cars tthat have more power than their Peugeot engines????

Your thoughts.....

My thougths : the Bugatti track is very different from the great one, and the main straight is quite short for sportscars (even probably for bikes)...

The trims and setups will be completely differents, but not more than they are for the ALMS or FIA-SCC races. The track is not bumpy, and the tarmac has a good quality in dry conditions... quite slippy in wet conditions, though...

I have no idea of the comparative performances between teams and cars, but the track is very short, and we'll have a lot of cars on it : lots of fun and overtakes possible at every places ; the view is very good for the public everywhere, the 'behind part' beeing a must at my opinion (the airpin before the 'Chemin aux Boeufs')... can't wait !

Talking about the Bugatti track: there will be two testdays on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd of August. There will be several teams on the track to test tyres. The testdays are organised by Dunlop.

Don't know, but in Le Mans (is it due to the jet lag between France and Nederlands ?), the 21 is on thursday and the 22 is on friday...

So : is it a Wednesday/Thursday test, or a 21/21 test, Wout ? BTW, thank you for the info !!!

Yesterday Jan Lammers drove a 1.29,4 as fastest time. Besides Jan and John Bosch the RFH car was driven by Val Hillebrand, the fast Belgian guy who drove for RFH last year.
