They look so much like photos- no wait, better than photos - it's like you could reach out and touch the cars they seem so real: Although I see they're managing to incorporate a 2003 Suburu WRC yet a 2001 Lancer WRC since the Lancer has 'Tommi' written on the front of it.

Christmas time at the moment apparently. It will be unvield fully at E3 in a couple of weeks but rumour has it this one will be online compatable, have a decent AI and have an intergrated real time damage model. Here's hoping.

They were based on real F1 cars but way too easy to drive (game beaters). The designer said in an interview that the game will be more simulation then arcade this time around, I hope so.

Hehe. I got all the special cars, without cheats. And i won every championship there was. After that i just did the 300km race over and over so i could buy all the cars in the game. Rather a tall order though

I hope it's got more cars on it than GT3 and I REALLY hope they bring back some of the older cars (or some new old cars!) from GT2. The Cobra Daytona Coupe was fab!

From the little I've read about GT4 there are apparantly going to be 500 cars and many, many more tracks including more real tracks.

Much more simulation like.

Online play, car trading etc, challenges.

Unlikely that there will be car damage although this may be a suprise kept back until closer to launch.

New weather modes are likely.

They also intend to have different race series represented e.g LM prototypes, JGTC, DTM, BTCC?, WRC, Pikes Peak, Formula Nippon?

One of the things the producers are desperate to include are many more historic road and race cars and respective series. Hopefully Groupc/IMSA GTP, 60s GTs, Trans-Am, Group B rally and the like.

Don't forget GT2 was GT1 with more of the same while GT3 was basically a graphical update of GT2. GT4 will be the first totally new GT game since GT1 and is being billed as a totally new experience.

I remember when GT3 hit the OZ shores and I was on compo at the time. I had a full knee reconstruction and layed up for ages. My wife came home from work one night with a box it was the GT3 special edition with a PS2. As I was bed ridden I played it 24/7 and had it finished in 5days. GT4 bring it on.......

Most of them'll be Nissan Micra's etc. Wouldn't you rather have fewer cars, and start with something a little faster?

Not really. Starting at the very bottom and working your way up is what the fun is all about. If you start with fast cars where's the thrill of upgrading?
