The Official 2012 10Tenths Le Mans Garage Visit to Toyota

But before I reveal the identity of the team in question, it is important for you to know that this is an EXCLUSIVE INVITATION to 10Tenths Motorsport Forum to offer 20 of its members the opportunity to visit their pit garages on the Friday afternoon at Le Mans. This invitation has been extended to 10Tenths in recognition of its importance, within the world of sportscar and GT racing, in offering a platform for real fans and those who work within the industry to interact, share knowledge and help raise the profile of 'our' area of motorsport.

Fabulous job. I'm not putting my name down, last year's Audi visit was great, it's someone else's turn this time.
Did Audi not offer this year? Following their comments last year I thought they'd love it?

Well, assuming I've understood what you are implying, you may be interested to know that the 'high voltage' risks within the working areas of the garages led to a very lengthy delay (or nervous wait, in my case) before Toyota were finally able to give our visit the green light. When the car was launched, nobody was permitted to enter the garages without first undergoing a lengthy training session in high-voltage systems (including VIP's, Toyota executives and media personnel). Fortunately, they now have the required certification, so the restrictions no longer apply.

I find all this somewhat unnerving. Special Training, etc. What about the poor bloody marshals that NEED to deal with an unconcious driver, and a fire???
It HAS to fail safe, or don't fit it.

What Florian and Audi did for us last year was above and beyond, in my opinion. I think it would be quite wrong to take up such an offer again so soon. Besides, I like the concept of visiting a different team each year.

You'll need to keep an eye on the thread for exact timings. Toyota have scheduled their press conference for 13:30 on the Friday, so the visits will take place after that, slightly later than in previous years.

well I must admit I did not even consider Toyota as a possibility so yet again you managed to pull something beyond our wildest dreams, never owned a toypta but Helen has a yaris so at leats some connection. Thanks for arranging what should be another amazing visit
