Racing software

Hi all

I appreciate that this is my first post, however everyone has to start somewhere!!

So what I am asking is, are there any race teams that can come up with ideas for software that would be useful.

The reason that I am asking is that I am a software developer that is very interested in motorsport and would like to get involved (however my spanner skills are on par with Kermit the Frogs!) so I thought that I might be able to use my skills in conjunction with my hobby/ passion to work with a race team to develop something that is useful to them.

An additional possibility could be that we develop the software together and then market it as a commercial product with a suitable agreement?

Ideally you should be Midlands based (A1/ A14 corridor?) however anything can work!
