LMS fans. Where do we go now???

Having been a long time LMS fan since the F Holden days, The end of that team was a sad day, but was an easy call to follow Larko to WPS last year as did most loyal Larko Fans. I have been waiting for him to pop up at another team but that is appearing unlikely. So now I am asking ALL Larko fans, where do we go now??? Being one of the most loyal group of fans around, maybe we could reach a consensus or allow others to bid for our support!!!

Very sad indeed, the Larko situation - also a fan from the early days and close to the team through close relative. It would be a tragedy if Mark is lost to the sport forever.

I agree wholeheartedly with one of the posts - Larko would be the IDEAL steward / driving standards adjudicator.

As for who to support - I go for Fords as a rule - so pick who you like the most:

- Cant support WPS for screwing Larko much as I like Bargs
- Cant support FPV for giring BPB although I like Frosty
- Have supported DJT sponsor for some time now
- Forget Not-So
- Forget BOC - anyone can keep up with the Joneses
- Leaves me with the Vodafone boys, SBR and the Rat

Well ive always been a seton fan going back way back when...now im a courtney fan due to the fact seto went to sbr last year and courtney was just starting his v8 career it seemed logical, the now and the future....And seeing seto defected im now a fully fledged Courtney and SBR fan, thats how ive decided my new driver/team.

How bout supporting Britek?

Jason and Mark had links back in 98 with the Stone Brothers.

The spirit of the smaller team battling the larger teams is being revived with Jasons efforts at Britek.

I think they would be a worthy substitute for the Larkham fans.

Hope Larko hangs around the sport in some way.

Still reckon his mitre 10 eagle cap is the best bit of gear in the last 7 years.

Good luck to him in what ever he decides to do though.

As for support.

FPR since frosty is the lead driver

Possible, but wouldn't Mezera be more likely, since he has been doing it for Porkers and is well respected in the towers

Mezera isn't doing Porsches this year. Wants to spend more time with the family and has too many other commitments so taking CB's job doesn't seem likely.

Larko may be off doing something different but a large core of "Larko" guys are still at WPS and 1 of the engineers nickname is "Rowdy".Bargs and Max backing up for the second season, Hasted engines still there and getting stronger. Great looking cars in 07, maybe jumping ship is a hasty decision???

The Team still looks for support, surley the group of fans we are talking about are not that fickle and support all the team not just 1 bloke???

Mark is a good bloke and his time at WPS was worthwhile and maybe even prolonged his stay in the sport in that capacity, I am sure that he would want his fans to support were the baulk of his team is and thats WPS Racing.

WPS it is!!!!!

Another "bumper" year in FWhatever!!

One could always shift one's support to the new owner, Shannon O'Brien....although even this has been made somewhat tricky with the sale of one BA to the Morton Morphation

Funnily enough I was a Dick Johnson supporter from "the rock" and started following Larko when DJ retired. Now I just follow Ford, though I am expecting good things from young James Courtney this season.

I'd say all Larko fans should support the sponsor that dug Larko out of the **** a few years ago. If it wasn't for Orrcon then Larko would of folded years before hand, after ICS shat all over him.
There is Frosty and Orrcon all in the 1 package, and really to me thats the most logical place for all Larko fans to go to.

Gore may of given Larko a shot, but in the end Larko moved on, even though Larko was slowly getting results out of the old 00 Chassis. There were promises of new chassis coming on during the year, that never happened. Larko was also a Ford man through and through which started back in his Go Karting days when he was a refridgeration mechanic. The local Ford dealer helped him out, and Larko was forever greatful. Larko would never stoop to bagging out people and bashing people like his previous boss did. And deep down I'd say Larko would want you to sponsor whoever your heart desired to.

I personally would love to see Larko return to the series in some way, I believe he still has a lot to offer teams, and I believe in the right environment Larko would be a huge asset.
