AC Ace - history of a car wanted

Yet another futile quest to answer a question I have been asked. Can anyone help? Thanks!

"I am trying to trace the history of my AC Ace Bristol, that raced on the US circuits between 1957 an the hands of the frist owner, Don Zeek (17th in SCCA 1958 E Production, but individual race details unknown) and subsequent history. From 1959 to the late 1960's it was raced by Russell Simon, whose results reputedly included a 2nd place (behind Pedro Rodrigeuz - in a Ferrari) in the inaugural Mexican Grand Prix, that possibly included a race for Formula Junior single seaters. It may have been in 1962, the non championship F1 meeting, or possibly 1961."
