Why not - better to get into this NASCAR thing now if the F1 dream is over...

The future holds Piquet Jr, Danica Patrick.
They have got it wrong, the world bi***ing championship is being held down the road. Still, it will be interesting to see how the regulars react to this human being. I suspect he may be satisfying his lust for concrete walls sufficiently. |

i take it you're not thrilled about, Knowlesy.
i guess this move makes sense is a strange move, but is starting to become more common. good luck to the fella...i'm not sure how well he'll do. but i AM sure he'll find some concrete quickly. |

Piquet Jr in NASCAR. Crikey! To be fair a well timed caution will be less noticeable in NASCAR.

Assumed he'd be looking to usa, but would have thought he'd get a drive in IRL - he put in some great performances in the 1st season of A1GP after all.

As are irritating parents. Nah. But then it is symptomatic of the problem the Piquets have now. They have wrecked their reputation in Europe and have to go Stateside now and this is the top US series so it's logical in that sense. But he's not a great driver. He's not gonna emulate JPM in the transition. This is a guy who needs a team run by his dad and cars that are perfect in every way. The first point is easily achieved, the second is nigh on impossible even for a Hendrick driver. Still, he is at least starting on a lower rung to begin with which I do respect. |

it does seem that Pops are much more previlant in the media's coverage of F1 compared to NASCAR. I can't say how good of a driver he is as I have only seen him in the Renault, but i guess we'll see how he can handle a Tundra/Brick. soon enough
for sure! |

I don't see it happening and if it does I don't see it being a success. For one he has no clue about oval racing. Second Nascar is a series that requires public personalities. Piquet is the shy, retiring type which is at odds with that.
Seems like a desperate move to me. |

Yeah, all of a sudden I don't like these guys coming over anymore. Nascar rocks, but the B. France doesn't.

Does Trulli realise that the 'Trulli Train' won't work in this series?
That said he is seemingly testing just for fun. |

In all fairness, these are the best oval drivers in the world. Well maybe.
