GPL 65 Laptimes
What sort of times have you started to get with the 65 mod?
I've only visited Watkins Glen and Monaco so far, both of my fastest times being set with the Ferrari (only because it's the only car I've sorted out some reasonable gear ratios for!  )Monaco: 1:30.37. Just over a second off negative in a '67 car! The chassis are very nimble. Watkins Glen: 1:11.48. The long straights really kill the laptime. Last edited by Spudgun; 1 May 2004 at 14:49. |

1m11.8 in the cooper at glen
1m29.26 in the ferrari at zandy 1m26.52 brm at mosport and 1m32.88 in the brm at silverstone (1.4s off the current 65 WR!!) |

I had a crack at Monza yesterday for a few laps and got a 1:38.8, but only on a rough setup and cobbled together gear ratios in the Lotus.
The WR at the moment is 1:36.77 AFAIK. |

Here are my times (yes I did a 67rank with 65cars):
Kya: 1.25.945 (ferrari) Mex: 1.54.637 (lotus) monaco: 1.30.819 (lotus) monza: 1.37.649 lotus (though a boring lap) mosport: 1.27.483 (ferrari) ring: 8.44.776 (lotus - this was my first lap at 65mod and it was a shock... to easy for my liking) rouen: 2.06.018 (lotus) silverstone: 1.34.386 (lotus) spa: 3.40.282 (lotus - slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww time) glen: 1.10.394 (lotus) zandvoort: 1.30.446 (lotus) - super zandvoort

I've been away from my GPL machine since yesterday so I have limited laps. Guess whose paying a visit to a track in Germany which starts with 'N' tomorrow?

I haven't tried the cooper and brabhams (spelling?).
The lotus is a super-drifting car (maybe a little bit to drifter). It was a shock, compared to the 49  And, even though it hasn't got the best engine, at spa, at least for me, is faster than the honda (hell, why has it got 6-gears :wonder: )And Spudgun, I have a lot of time to practise (i'm a student eheh). That's why I been practising all the original tracks. When the 65rank comes out, I think I'll be one of the first to have a rank (for some days, I'll be in the top100 ehehe). |

I've tried all the cars now. (I hate just driving one or two chassis). The surprise of the bunch is the BRM - nice to drive. In fact, they're all nice to drive. Sounds are good too - with the exception of the Lotus - why are Lotus sounds always so naff....?

Well, one of my favourites things about the ring was to nail an almost perfect lap (for me at least) in the Lotus49. With the new mod, well, it isn't as "right-in-the-edge"... The cars are ssssssssssooooooooooo easy to drive. Like if Gran Turismo got into GPL
