The BBC and F1 coverage
Does anyone know what the plan is for the BBC regarding bidding for the F1 coverage, when will they bid? Is it soon?
Secondly, does anyone know when the BBC started using "The Chain" as the F1 theme. If they do get the F1 back, I hope they bring back "The Chain" as the theme tune, and not the remix they have on the WRC coverage, but the original. Didn't the BBC change the Grandstand theme, then change it back to the original? |

"The Chain" was first used, I believe, for the 1979 Argentine GP, the first race covered in the 30 minute "Grand Prix" highlights show.

If the beeb get it then it may (just may) be possible that we might get some of the interactive features back. The beeb's interactive tends to be the pick of all the stations who try to use it.
And getting the Mac back would be a bonus! |
