Joe Taylor should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
As mentioned by others, coming down the hill from Dunlop and the Tetre Rouge Esses are amongst my favourites. I also like the exterior of Tetre Rouge - you have to go up pretty high on a steep and muddy slope, but if you can find somewhere where the track isn't obscured by trees, you'll get some good shots.

As mentioned above, the outside of the entry to Porsche curves is possible, but you need to be very tall to not get catch-fencing at the bottom of the picture. I noticed some people had step ladders with them, but given how the viewing area is on a bank, they looked somewhat unstable.

My final favourite place is an unusual one. €5 gets you onto the big wheel at the Ford Chicane. It's tricky to get good photos from it as you're constantly moving and bits of the wheel's structure tend to get in the way, but if you get it right, pictures like these are your reward:

Inside of the start of Porsche Curves. Low fence, high bank...
Inside of Foret S, climb the STEEP bank, hang on to the fencing, and shoot wide open.
Exit of Ford Chicane, next to marshals post. LIE DOWN! You'll know it when you see it.
Exit Ford Chicane, through fence, head on. Over a big wheely bin, IIRC.
From ferris wheel, but at night.
There are spots at the Porsche Curves end of Maison Blanche campsite if you can get in, too.
I did all those last year. They are in my flickr galleries, http://www.flickr.com/photos/sandfis...7626875978017/, so you can see what you get...
I was not well for race weekend, and very limited in where I walked. I still have to get out to Mulsanne at night, and out to Indy at all! Oh, and a certain Poste 106A.

I wasn't mobile enough to get out and about with my camera at the 24 Hours last year.
This photo was taken from the public enclosure at the LM Classic 2010

as was this

and others on my Flickr Classic 2010 gallery

You need to spend some time seeking out likely spots and working out the best time to use them.
