Nice to see all the classic cars, but I'd prefer something being driven in earnest. Bored me very quickly in '11.

No annual race to watch next year for me, these cars were very boring to watch, would have prefered the Group 5 - 6 cars of the seventies as support act.

I'm quite happy - I like the Group Cs, but it's good to have a change. But like Nobby, cars from the 70's would have been better. It's time they wheeled out some GT1s!

Can't see it ever changing while Motor Racing Legends run the show. They only seem to run the two eras of machinery. Perhaps time for the ACO to mix things up a bit?

Didn't think the field was all that special in the Group C this year with the lack of Jags. I suppose the big teams like Chamberlain Synergy can only run so many cars and have to leave some behind.

Thank heavens it's not just me wanting to see some 1970s cars in the classic race...

I quite enjoyed the older machinery in 2011, a lot less a race than a pleasing collection of different looking cars, which occasionally moved around in fun ways. Thinking about it, it's never going to be a truly competitive display, fundamentally these are investments that nobody's going to risk that much - but seeing them moving is inherently better than seeing them static in a museum.

I wonder how long the MRL deal is for? I forget the name but surely that series which supports at Silverstone could step in and hold a round, maybe with a few high-profile guest entries that we see at places like Spa?

It should provide a bit closer racing than we saw with the Astons this year.

The race in 2012 certainly left a mark. Everyone remember this?

Isn't it around the same time as the annual Ten-Tenths Saturday meet-up though?

Well the annual meet is actually held right by the race track so you can be there and follow the action on the track at the same time

I hope someone is mad enough to put a 905 and a TS010 on track for some demo laps before the race to celebrate 20 years since those cars last fought it out on the track. That would really give us some sounds to discuss.
