#5 Force One Viper pulls out of FIA GT

Due to the fact that the #5 Force One Viper sustained major damage at Orscherslaben last time out the team has decided that they cannot repair the car in time for Estoril or Monza. http://www.fiagt.com/index.php?event=9&season=2003 Hopefully the team will be back though with the Vipers next year, or if not the Viper some other car, the number #4 car will be at Estoril as normal though.

Just speculaton here but what are the chances that Force One never get around to repairing the car, simply because they plan on running another machine next year, ie a Ferrari 575, Lambourgini, Saleen S7R, or even a Lister? I forget where but I think it was AUTOSPORT magazine that they said their may be 6 Lister Storms racing next year. But as I said this is all just speculation.

I thought that when I saw the statement. It would be pointless rebuilding the car if they are planning to change machinery for next year.

Exactly, so maybe this is a big clue? Lets hope so. But we could just be clutching at straws.

slicktsax has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
wait, i just checked the FIA GT website and it says the #4 car will miss the last 2 races because it was the one that had the big crash in Oscherslaben. and the #5 car will still be driven by anthony kumpen and mike hezamens and might be joined by philip alliot or david halliday as a 3rd driver. http://www.fiagt.com/newsitem.php?key=223

The #4 car was the car that I meant, I got the numbers mixed up. Anyway, the situation is still the same, the #5 car is racing, the #4 car is not. The question is now what are Force One Racing's plans for next year?

The Vipers damage is a very good excuse for Mr. Alliot...

I know this is off topic some, but KM, do you think that there will be any Zonda's or Lambo's in ALMS next year? Hear of anything?
