Have the ACO made their initial selection of invitees for the Test Day then? If they haven't, I wouldn't put any money on any list produced by anyone else.

So is the Bentley going to get number 1. I have hoping on 7 again. Although looking at the list the numbers are consecutive. And (presumably) bear no relation on the actual numbers. Not that it's important!
However: Five Audis! 2 factory and 3 private? |

As I say it tis not an offical list it just someone guess of who may be in the great race this year, as for Audi, after reading Autosport yesterday it looks like they may 2 factory car's, 1 other 2002 spec and then the private cars from Gulf and Goh.

Any idea who will run teh other 2002 spec.
Will the private cars have last years fuel economic engine? I understand the Bentley should be able to run longer between stops too. Shame there is only one of them... |

Ooo, I missed that in Autosport.
3 Audi + 1 Bentley. Surely 2 of each would have been better! |

There will certainly be more than 5 Porsches willing to enter the race. But I guess we'll have to wait and see how fast the Spyker and Ferrari 360 are to see if they'll get qualified.

The list doesn't mention the Lotus Elise entry, does this mean that there is a problem or has the person trying to pull this list together just missed them.
Maybe LotusGTP could give us an update to how things are going?? |

I think that there will certainly be some variances, but I will be disappointed if there is only 1 GTP car.
I think I'll wait for official confirmation before making my mind up about what I think is right though. |

This is a link to the entry list that I have been following, admitted there are only the 4 Audi's shown.
http://lmspm.ifrance.com/lmspm/24auto02/engages.htm Paul as for the Team Lee Davey requests what years are you looking at for information both from and too. I've got some information but not sure where to start looking to see if I can help you. |

Entry list... Daid Legangneux is reliable
To answer to Abs and Paul, I'll say that David Legangneux, who's the local specialist journalist of the race, is the most reliable informed man of the place...
One thing : be sure of precise that he sourced you when you mention his list, because he works a lot to gather informations, and some guys use his work without even mention it - no problem with Abs, who just gave the URL to go to the list... As say Ayse above, ACO is still working on the files, and there will be a lot of possible cars 'till the prequal, where they will chose 45 main cars running to qualify and 4 or 5 "suppleants" (I don't know the accurate term in english...), which maybe will run the prequals and take a main place if somebody gives up or if the performance of the main car is jugged too low by ACO... and even in this situation, it's difficult to get a place : last year, the MG's where really weak and unreliable in May, and wonderful in June, without losing their place between the two dates... Another thing : ACO choses cars that can really run 24 hours, not cars for one or two hours... difficult to enter in the main list if the car has not made his proofs before... I'm not optimistic for Ferraris and, generaly, with new cars (Ascari had difficulties to be qualified in the last years...). |
