And the runner up is?
OK lets face it, unless the FIA deduct 100 points, this championship is over.
But who will be second? There are 4 contenders. Using current scores, the longshot of this group is Rubino. Its difficult to rack up valuable points when your pulling over 400m from the end but the Ferrari team game may come back in his favour later on. The only thing Ferrari want more than victory in the WDC, is a one-two. Look for a string of victories towards the end for this late runner. Currently 4th in title chase is DC, with a race win and a podiam in Canada claims he's the dark horse. However IMO, 2nd place would take an act of God. 3rd in championship and tied on points with Ralf is very fast Montoya. The man was wheel-to-wheel with Michael so many times in the opening races, but will the Beamer give him better luck? Does he have the consistancy to keep other behind him? Currently second in the championship is Ralf. While many believe he lacks his brothers 'racer' quality, he does sit back and quietly rack up points. This method has seen him move to "best of the rest" and gain a race win. So who is it? Who will be - the first loser? |

Welcome to the forum M Webber. Not sure it's Monty killing the car but Ralf has a way of accumulating points unnoticed.
Happy posting |

If Monty can keep up the form he's shown in the past couple of races, but can get rid of the rotten luck, then he should just nip Ralf to second overall.
Rubens will most likely stay in fourth unless he is allowed to win. |

If Williams improve reliability, JPM will do it.

At now it seems Ralf as the most probable driver who can finish 2nd. If Montoya can converted to results his impressive actuations, he can fight to deserve that place. DC must fight hard with the Williams drivers, but not the favourite to finish 2nd.

JPM for sure.
Well, if his car is reliable enough for him. |

I like DC if Ilmor can increase their supposed lack of power. P.S> can anyone fill me in on the speed trap #'s for the Canadian gp, I missed qualifying and the race.

I'm not suprised that Monty got the most votes on this poll, but I'm stunned more members believe DC in a McLaren is more likely to finish second than Ralf or Rubins.

I'm going for Monty (but then i would wouldn't i!!!) if things go the same way as last year, then we're about to enter the "montoya zone" where JPM got the upper hand over Rafe (with the exception of possibly Hungary). As we have seen over previous seasons, i wonder if Rafe will "drop off" abit? but i still think he'll end up in 3rd position with Rubens in 4th and DC 5th.
