Isn't Belarus on the 'on yer bike sonny' list alongside the Russians?

Or has he changed his licence to AN Other?

Looks like Kjærgaard will be doing sprint cup together with Maldonado as they shared a car yesterday during testing at Zandvoort.

The other Mclaren (with what it looked like was Macdonald behind the wheel) crashed into the Techpro barriers in one of the banked corners, just like 2 Audi's did. Luckily those new barriers do their work which resulted in less damage then usual and saw them back out in a few hours !

Kjærgaard looked to have good potential in Asian Le Mans this year after what seemed like an underwhelming 2021, be interesting to see how he develops if he gets the opportunity in sprint..

Anyone doing Spa 24H this year? Or done it a bit in recent years? This year is finally gonna be the year for me. Looking like I'll be flying solo, so just looking for practical information on close proximity camping, or maybe pop-up tent in a car park. Even sleeping in the car/location advice - that type of thing.

Don't wanna clog up the thread before R1 so happy to keep it to DM's. Cheers!

If been twice in the past years. Camped both times in the woods literally above the old main-straight. It was a 10 min walk down the forest to Eau-Rouge main entrance, basically entering the valley from above. There were no facilites but a toilet building way down in said valley.
At Les Combes there always seemed to be a more generous camping-field under open sky, with less obstacles and flat surfaces, but I never managed to get an idea about it, i.e. what to book to end up there. It always looked slighly better organised.

However, judging by the Website there seem to be some changes. 1. prices for camping went up significantly resp. are per pitch now. 2. there is no real map yet determining where the sites actually are, esp. the mentioned site at P4. I'd guess it's the forest I have been to. 130 € is quite the call for that and I never encountered anything like pitches there. The Les Combes area probably is the one I stumbled upon in past years.

Traveling solo I honestly would look for rooms to rent in the area. It's not that big of an event imho and the action on the campsites is quite slim, yet the comfort nonexisting.

My plan is (as previous years) to fly to Luxembourg late on Friday, stay in the cheap ibis hotel, get up early for the ~90 min drive to Spa and park either in the woods or (if full) in whichever car park they are directing us to. That usually means a hike to the track, but if you’re not ready for hiking the Spa 24 is the wrong event for you!

Sit around twiddling thumbs until the 1630 start, avoiding sunburn/torrential rain and marauding groups of drunks. Do a lap of the track before dark and a lap after, before retiring to the back seat of the car for ~4hrs sleep. Back for dawn and revel in having one of the world’s most glorious tracks to yourself for hours. Escape before the end to avoid traffic, drive back to Luxembourg for late flight home and be back at work on Monday with 5000 photos, sore feet, sunburn and a slightly glazed look.

What's happened to all of the factory-blessed Porsche teams this year?
I didn't watch much GTWC last year so I might be a year behind with this question, but I've just watched Imola 2022 and been surprised by how few Porsche there were.

Unfavourable BOP?

If I were a team owner independent from a manufacturer, I wouldn't want to run a Porsche (or a Bentley or a Lamborghini), but I'd run a Mercedes or an Audi.
If I were a team owner of a Porsche-affiliated team, I wouldn't run my car in GT World Challenge but choose another series instead.
