BBKing should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Prost will drive this Year Ferrari.

Anybody heard about the rumor that Alain Prost will get to test this year’s Ferrari when TGF breaks his race winning record?

According to my sources () TGF objected to a public session and the event will take place in the secrecy of one of Ferrari’s tracks.

What is he afraid of?

I have not heard about this..It sounds like it will be fun....As much as I respect Alain Prost's driving skills,I doubt whether Michael has anything to worry about..Where do you get your information from BB King??? IMO I think that to see Alain driving the Ferrari would be a treat for all of us..I wonder if he ever drives the Prost just to see what the car is like???

You're not Dancing Machine in disguise, are you?

It would be somewhat embarassing for Michael if Alain produced lap times close to his. People might start to ask questions and make comparisons, a scenario that Michael would not like, for sure.

thats if alian can even get the thing off the line..he hates traction control and could never get the hang of it properly because he tries to feel the clutch instead of wringing its neck and just dumping the clutch.

but i like the sound of this..i would say alian would be slower ..it has been awhile for him since his last drive back in 1994 in a Ligier I believe but would be very good to see

In 1990 Ferrari introduced Traction Control to F1 and Prost almost won with it. In 93 he was a champion driving one of the best implementations of TC. I don’t think he would have any problems with it. Contrary to that he could set the world on fire if he was to outclass TGF publicly. Risk that TGO is not willing to take at any cost.

Where do I get my info? I wont tell you but you can believe is reliable.

Yes I remember the cars were fully active then..I don't think for one moment that Alain would outclass Michael in the same car..But anything is possible I suppose..Now don't you think you should share where you get your info from??? What are you afraid off

well BB..can you at least tell us where you got this info from ???

I am pretty sure that williams were the first team to use traction control and it wasnt until 1992 ???

I could be wrong but thats the first i ever heard of it..allthough Ferrari were the first to use a semi automatic gearbox back in 1989.

Quite wrong here, by more than half a century - the Model T Ford had one.
And I think the VW Beetle in the early eighties also had one.

Neither do I. Father time has taken it's toll and the cars have changed so much.

Prost last drove officially in a McLaren in 1995, after the Mansell fiasco...they were considering running a 3-car team in 1996 with DC and Mika, but the FIA wouldn't change the rules for them...

Now thats a very good question. Sorry BB, it was sort of an in joke around here, Everyone obviously thought you knew who he was.

DM was a former poster (now banned) that claimed to have insiders at Ferrari & Williams.

He was not very popular

So yes, it was just a joke.

Didn't Alesi say that the new traction control systems are far more sophisticated than the older versions which is why he doesn't race with it.

Something to do with fly by wire throttles?

When I saw this thread pop up again, I thought you were going to say Alain would drive the ferrari engined Prost vacated by Burti. Now that would be exciting.

Quite interesthing thing... It will be great if Prost can make the times TGF gets... It will demonstrate the argument people use against JPM: It's not the racer, but the engine...

Well, we all know what he said after the last time Prost drove a Ferrari back in '91:

"Zies kaar drivez laiku truck"
