Montoya1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
ETCC Die cast models?

Are there any slot cars or Minichamp-type cars of the ETCC BMWs?

The Carly BMWs look awesome and the Zanardi car very invocative..

I think because these questions belong (in the eyes of the moderators) in the Armchair section.

What's so special on the Carly BMW's? I mean they have the same spoilers as the factory BMW's.

I Just think the color scheme is superb.

I also think it's dumb to move an ETCC related topic out of the ETCC area!!

Maybe Ayse can have a talk with one of the ETCC mods to get it moved back.
When threads like this come up in Sportscar and GT racing (Aysedasi's other forum) they're allowed to stay for a couple of days so people know it exist then they're moved here. This is afterall the forum for gaming, modelling, books, videos, etc. related to all motorsport.

That sounds fair enough...

I think it's a shame that Minichamps no longer produces 1/43 models of the ETCC or BTCC cars. I guess they don't believe they will sell very well.

They seem to have gone back to the older ETCC cars, like the Cosworths (which is fine by me!), and only seem to do the DTM contemporary grids. Maybe someone will start doing the BMWs and Alfas now that the championship seems to be on the up again.

Yeah, I don't know why they're going back in time, but not forward in time? Are there that many fans out there dying to buy 1/18 scale cars of DTMs gone by???

Yeah, go figure. Why only the DTM? I guess they believe the markets are the largest? Why isn't anyone producing 1/18 scale versions of the DTM Audi TT-Rs??

There aren't too many independent 1/43 scale model companies left. Auto Art, Jadi and Classic Carlectibles are the only ones left.

Well, when you're talking about the old BMWs and Cosworths then there might be quite a few. I think that it's great that they're doing some of the older stuff, but it dose seem strange that they don't bring out the current cars as well.

I emailed Minichamps last year regarding whether or not they will be releasing ETCC models. Heck, I've bought quite a lot of Minichamps/Oynx over the last 2-3 years.

I get this curt lettering saying they cannot tell me what they are about to release b/c their competitors may know. It tells me to just check back every week for myself. I was part disappointed and part angry at their attitude.
