A snip to 28 mid-season?? (Merged x2)
News out of sunny Queensland suggests that a Supercar team suffered a substantial shock upon their return from Hamilton with a car supplier repossessing their car.
This is a further turn of events, more of which will come to light over time as other elements unfold, but speculation has been around for some time now on the basis of when rather than if these events would unfold. Potential legal situations prevent the naming of names but a few people must be wondering if their dollars are safe. Right now, may our thoughts be with these people as the next few days shall unearth some interesting events, outcomes, and peculiarities as ince again the sport seems to be brought into disrepute. To the creditors, may you recover your losses in full at this difficult and trying time. |

Their car? As in singular?
Yes, very sad that a team would leave the championship in this way, particularly mid-season. Of course, Assuming this actually happens Mick |

As a number of other threads have shown, words typed and submitted on a forum, are just that, words. How a post on here could actually de-stabilise a V8 team is beyond me ? Is the entire series that fragile ? |

Pardon my ignorance, but why is it a secret? And why no names? It doesn't take much to figure out which team it is, they have had nothing but financial woes for three seasons.
In some ways it is sadly probably for the best, will put a few people out of thier misery, but a few will get burnt by it too - probably the main money lender! But as you say, it will all unfold over time..... |

At least 888 now have another spare car should Mr Whincup or Mr Lowndes be involved in another write off experience this year

And again this presumes that the legal machinations are simple and straight forward, and in reality they are absolutely not.
Last time I looked you can only buy something for cheap at a liquidator's auction if the legal entity(ies) being fried is/are in possession of good title to the asset. Boiling water, bunnies, cooked... |

Might have been one of there daily drivers and not a race car.
Until it is officially announced, not going to read into this much. |

I wonder if this is the start of the end of the V8s Ford withdrawing funding, sponsors getting harder to find, teams withdrawing (wps) etc.and with the price of fuel going through the roof. Is this the beginning of the end!!!

I doubt it:-
1. The original post claimed a 'car supplier' repossessed a car. 2. DJR built their existing cars in 2005 (IIRC). 3. GTR alluded to an ex-888 chassis. |

although PCR has the sheep influence, TKR have had the financial woes advertised for a long time, but are they technically a QLD based or NZ based team (considering HO, not garage)??
i any case, if it is TKR, the amount of crap that will go back and forth between relevant parties and posters on here, i will wait and see... was the post made by GTRMagic alluding to the future...??? http://tentenths.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2185411 Last edited by Axeman444; 24 Apr 2008 at 03:33. |

How does PCR have a sheep influence? I an fully aware that I may have missed something obvious. I would have thought that TKR had an obvious sheep thread.
