Wall Street tells NASCAR to "go West young man."

Wall Street recommends that NASCAR branch out more towards the Western part of the United States because they believe that NASCAR is too saturated in the Southeast. See: http://www.dallasnews.com/sports_day...621blount.html

So what do you think? Yo Lee! You're from the South. Should NASCAR move more away from their always loyal fanbase in the South to continue to grow the sport in the Western and Midwestern part of the U.S.?

Definately sound advice. Really should only be one race per track, so I think that if NASCAR wants to go out west, they should look towards some other venues out there.

If NASCAR wants to expand, then they're going to have to take some risks. Gravitating a tad away from their most loyal fan base is definately one.

Although, I must say, I'd REALLY like to see another road race for NASCAR. And Laguna Seca IS out west...

I would like to see NASCAR add a few more road races and Laguna Seca would be fine with me. Really though, the Northwestern part of the United States is the area that is left out in the cold when it comes to NASCAR. A venue in the Seattle-area would fill a much needed void. The Denver area really needs one too especially considering how loyal Coors Brewing Co. has been to NASCAR over the years in terms of car sponsorship.

However, this is all fine and good. NASCAR does its own research and feasibility studies to determine whether certain markets would be viable enough to meet their pack-housed standard. I am sure when the time is ripe and when local governments are willing to make some concessions to attract them, NASCAR will build a track in these areas.

This goes along with the Nevada deal of giving tax breaks to any Motorsports company that relocates or starts up in Nevada. I didn't think that any cup teams would go for it. But if they spred the races throughout the country...this could actually be a possibility.

I know that I am going to totally enjoy the new Chicago track in a few weeks. I AM GOING TO MY FIRST RACE!!! After being an addict for 10 years, & never being able to go, they are bringing it to me!!!!
