I think they will also be running their "Hybrid Demo Car" (see this: http://www.planetlemans.com/2008/09/...t-silverstone/ -- Speculation: "We are not building a new car... it is already built." "We are not building a new car... simply a new powerplant requiring significant aero changes, perhaps chassis changes etc." who knows.)

There was speculation before Le Mans a 908 was knocking around with different aero, I wonder if it was the hybrid?

And what exactly needs to be changed, other than accomodating the system, the Cosa Zytek for example looks almost identical.

One more point, I assume this will be our first look at a 2009 spec P1, i.e. the new wings etc.?

The hybrid drive often requires extra cooling. And it could alter the balance of the car, making aero changes necersarry.

yes it could be a prototype of the upcoming new 2009 spec car.

The Corsa Zytek doesn't currently have the hybrid system installed. It's just a normal LMP1 Zytek for the time being.

Looks like you're too late m8, says N/A for Weekend ticket which was the one I booked.

Which incidently I booked in the early hours of Thursday morning but have yet to receive. Is anybody else still waiting for their tickets to be delivered?

Neither of the other drivers are slouches either. Outzen was Privateer champion in the Danish Touring Championship last year and has won a couple of races this year. van der Merwe, besides having a famous dad, won the British F3 Championship in 03, I think it was. Have a look down the list of Brit F3 champions - it's like a who's who of sportscar and top open wheel drivers!

They have no garage allocation...so I guess that's a non racer.

I've just head from the track that the race commentary will be re-broadcast on 1602MW. I wanted to buy a new DAB but none I can find do MW

I remember I have seen at least one car radio doing DAB (L-Band;Band III), FM and AM. Don't ask me for its name though.
If you only want a radio for at home just look for an old alarm clock. Most of em doing AM pretty fine.

ECO won't be at Silverstone. Ian Dawson confirmed us this morning. They hope to begin at PLM...

Yeah maybe I won't retire the old radio just yet! Would like one with headphones to pick up the commentary around the back of the track. All the new DAB stuff seems obsessed with feature-bloat, no MW and then burdened with pathetic battery life.
