This results are provisional (not sure is going to happen in the aftermath of the Denver Race)

Championship is heating up.
well done to enemy-ace on taking his first win of the year and well done icemachine of being the first person awarded a point for correctly picking the first retirement of the race. of course after Denver these results are provisional (not sure if any penalties will be handed out , if they are I will revise the points as they stand. Champcar officials decision stands |

Have to admit I took a bit of a flyer on this week's race in an attempt to make up some ground in the points.
Needless to say I am pleasantly surprised to see it panned out. Bring on Montréal. |

A torrential afternoon practice session in Watkins Glen saw Villeneuve out-qualify everyone. By 11 seconds.Scheckter stated: "I scared myself rigid that day, I thought I had to be quickest. Then I saw Gilles's time and - I still don't really understand how it was possible. Eleven seconds !"

Too bad about Tags early out, but it enabled me to catch ground on Saleen, so at least thats a bonus for me
