And quite right too, lets hope Mr Cristo pays up promptly and allows his son to continue his career without any further interference

If they needed an advantage, £33K would have got him a lot of driving tuition!!!!!

Poor Adam

I hope Adam didnt know about this!. £33,000 may have bought a lot of tuition but I think they were looking for the unfair advantage. The shame is all Adams previous results are now tainted... was it a good drive or ???

1st point: His dad is a multi millionaire.
2nd point: He once sold a engione for 25k and carbs for 5k each.

So was a fine really needed? A ban would of made a lot more sense. 33k isnt alot to a millionaire. Why didnt they ban him, is my question

Any future success by Adam is going to be tainted with accusations of tampering, mud sticks.

Series Scrutineers are going to face a barrage of protests if Adam does even remotely well in the future.

Tainted? They should be seriously questioned. The implication is of serious, complex cheating over a period of time, No accident, oversight or anything likely to be spontaneous or one off.

And as for AC not knowing, IMO any reasonable racer would know if his equipment was bent or not. Unless one were ALWAYS running bent engines!

couls still be a ban

I believe that the matter isnt over yet as there are still to be further reviews which could include bans and they are looking into the 4 people that they supplied engines to,

Totally agree about the fine - it doesnt mean anything to a millionaire who just thinks he can buy his son success.

Just curious as to exactly what it was they were doing to these Rotax engines. Anything we should be looking for on this side of the pond?

I thought that they were taking out the balancer shafts, because they have quite an impact on an engine's output..

I'd even heard they had been messing around with the coil but that was just from one person. Alot seems to be mentioned about the crank pin however so assumed that was what they had done..

i think its bloody shameful of the MSA just to fine him. I mean like you guys previously mentioned 33,000 is nothing to him. A ban at least in my opinion should have been given afterall lets not forget this is not the first time he has been court for it.
At any of the events I

(CONTINUED)....went to it was obvious that his equipment was bent there was absoluelty know way he could have been that far out in front with the way 1. he drives 2. the mistakes he made.
In my opinion he has taken out all the credabilty out of Rotax classes, hence why alot of people now look to other classes as unless the spend 20,000 on a good engine and carb there is no hope of winning.
I may sound a little bit strong but i just think that these types of things are what destroy karting and wreck the sport. All that happens is he gets caught cheating then pays a fine and continues doing it in another grey area of the rules.

Still they let him off of £6050 for admitting guilt. Bet he's pleased about that!
