Falcadore should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
So the national series has been abandoned? Must feel a little weird for Neil McFadyen, to be notified of winning a series over the phone, although the last ever Australian Sports Car Championship ended much the same way with Alan Nolan leading the series into a final round that never happened.

Having the field visit Queensland would be nice but perhaps unrealistic, Queensland has hosted the Interstate Challenge a number of times in the last five years, both at Morgan Park and at Queensland Raceway and New South Wales competitors have avoided it like the plague. Although it's hard to blame them I suppose, with better fields and better circuits avaialble racing at home, although less now without Oran Park. Queensland comeptitors have a strong Clubman presence at Lakeside and I love calling a big field of them, great fun, perhaps that might draw NSW competitors north, but I doubt it. Lakeside fields are more than half historic though too with a strong contingent of imported Sports 2000 as well as local Sports 1300. Which shouldn't discourage as modern Super Sports are faster than the venerable Sports 2000 class anyway. Then there is the noise restictions, but national level Sports Sedans, Carrera Cup cars and gearbox Superkarts have run there without to much in the way of noise problems.

Would love to see the NSW series in action. Are there DVDs or Face-Tubes? Apart from the McClymonts video?

I can't imagine them being better to watch than the McClymont's video.

I would be nice if the series grew and made a visit or two to Queensland too
They did make a visit to Morgan Park two weekends ago for the Interstate Challenge and just ten cars fronted.

To no-ones surprise Stephen Morcombe won again in the Chiron-Toyota. Garth Walden was runner up but I have no idea what sort of pointscore was used so I can't determine with combined results over the weekend or just the final race determined to trophy winner. It did see the debut of the new Hooper but the new car still needs a lot of sorting.

For those checking the final race was:

1. Stephen Morcombe (Chiron-Toyota)
2. Garth Walden (???-???)
3. Richard Bloomfield (Radical?-???)
4. Grant Watson (Prosport-Kawasaki)
5. David Barram (ASP-Nissan)
6. Greg Smith (West?-???)
7. Barry Singleton (Swift-Ford)
8. Jim Lowe (JMW-Suzuki)
DNF. Bill Sherwood (Galloway-???)
DNF. John Campbell (Hooper-???)

The biggest hurdle to the expansion of Sports Car Racing will be the agenda of series organisers to promote their own Chassis distribution ahead of similar cars already in the country. Last year we saw the problem of a series organiser putting promotion of Wests ahead of the rest of the category if the allegations are to be believed and 2011 we are seeing a series promoted by Radical to the exclusion of all other manufacturers. Where this leaves owners of Minettis, Prosports, Speads, Wests, Chirons, Hoopers and others is not clear.

Thanks for that Dave. Do you know how the points structure for the weekend worked? Trying to get some bits and pieces together for varying sources. Spoke to Bill Sherwood this morning and he didn't know.

Is there still a 2-hour race at the 8-hour prod car race at e/creek in december?
