Same for me, I missed 2003 (son being born) and this year too (2nd slipped disk of the year), but I'll be back next year so Audi can rest easy and return to normal service!

A word of advice for next year; stay away from the free shuttle service to Muslane/Arnarge etc.

I got stuck with about 200 other people at Mulsane at 1am with bus's coming and going full and no one able to get on them. So I had a very nice 3 hour walk back to my tent with my elderly farther on pitch black roads. Letters to the ACO will be sent this week.

I'll be there and may try to take my family to the classic as well. Looking forward to your company Craig, but am a little alarmed that this may guarantee an Audi victory!

Also not impressed Shuttle route:-

Tetre Rouge to BSJ, BSJ to Musee (via Arnage).
We were told when we got on by the driver that the bus was going to Arnage.
Not happy when he wouldn't stop.
We would have got there if we had gone around the entire cicuirt including a loop around mulsanne!

That said - I will be there next year (Only two years missed since 1984...).

Went all the way there by Eurostar/Metro/TGV and it was an absolute doddle. Will definitely be back next year even though I have the full 2009 LM24 hangover today !

OK - I sent my order today via e-mail - haven't got an answer yet - so you might be right, that it is not possible.

Did not expect it to be a problem since it worked last year.

And will also return for a sixth year running. A pleasure to drive down this year, and really experience hours upon hours of amazing cars.

I fully expect to be there for my 25th Le Mans, but it may not be as a Tourist.......

What is the betting on the weekend? I need to get my leave application in as soon as possible. 12th/13th or 19th/20th?

However.....
Le Mans 1981: 13-14 June 1987: 13-14 June 2009: 13-14 June
Le Mans 1982: 12-13 June 1988: 11-12 June 2010: ?

If the ACO follow their usual pattern (yes, I know, I know....) it should be 11th-12th, then in 2011 it will go back a week and start the pattern again.

But then again, it might not!

We'll be going again - our Michelin tribune tickets are auto renewals (not from ACO). We fly from the US, stay in Paris at a hotel adjacent to Gare Montparnasse, use the TGV as a commute vehicle, the tram at the gare in LeMans to circuit, stay at the track Saturday night . . very much a set routine. FYI for those of you with bus issues, we pay for the bus excursion along with our tickets and it's lovely - a/c bus; get dropped off at Arnage for an hour; dropped at Mulsanne for an hour, comfy seats for everyone.

Carol

Hope the weekend is determined soon. If FOTA rules, their proposed calendar has a race at Indy on 13 June.

If it's a case of hedging your bets, I'd plump for the 12th/13th (which is what the local hoteliers are doing).

Not as a Tourist? Does that mean there's a possibility you'll do the whole week for the first time in a quarter of a century of visits?
