Could well be. For a variety of reasons which I won't go into here (not yet anyway). It's possible that I'll be looking for a few pointers from you experienced Le Mans campers (Jeez - did I really say that....... ). |

Thought I'd add this to the most relevant/read post on the 24 forum. On the main Sportscars and GT page, have a look in the following thread.
Post the coolest sportscar/GT video you have come across There is some amazing Le Mans footage esp first post. Great to see some of the track and noise pre my 2005 first trip! |

I got an e-mail from the Le Mans ticket office yesterday. Booking of tickets will be open from 1st of october!
The last two years we have been at Lagache with a great view down the Ford chikane and further down. However we are considering mooving to Sommer to see the other end of the pit lane and get a better view to the giant screen. Does anyone know how the view down to the Ford chikane is from Sommer? Does the Durand and/or ACO grandstand block your view? |

Expect I will be there yet again. Scary that it will be the 30th visit to La Sarthe as well.
Tempted with going to the classic though or maybe even Spa for a change. Never know may do all 3 (can anyone lend me some cash!...please) Enjoyed Houx this year so will probably try for that again, cost a bit more but was worth it as no genny's chugging away all night. |

I'm now pretty definite on doing Le Mans differently in 2010. I'm looking to go over earlier in the week, hopefully to be there by Wednesday. Beyond that, I've made no plans.....

I will deffinatly be going in 2010, 2009 was my first year going as a spectator rather than a marshal and it was alot more enjoyable! This year i plan to hire a campervan as the boot of our peugot 207 hire car wasnt very comfortable this year! Can anyone tell me if there is electric plug in points or running water on the campsites?

I would guess that if you don't get a numbered pithc you would have to get there pretty early in the week. |

Generators are a good option, or don't bother with electric power, you are camping after all. |

We'll be there, representing the Hawaiian Alcoholic team.
Already booked up and can't wait. Camping in Houx Campsite as usual. 14th year for us. Hoping to arrange a "Houx Barracks" set-up with all the beermountain brigade, so we can celebrate together in style. Any other beermountaineers on here? |

Guys... Reading all these stuff makes me jelaous. How much would I like to go and see the race live. This my year thesis work prevented me from La Sarthe and it looks like next year I'll be doing my military service. So no Le Mans for me until (at least) 2011...

I booked in advance - made a reservation via just tickets. We also use 1st tickets sometimes, however both of their allocations were spoken for before the beginning of July. You can join their waiting lists now in case of a cancellation.
We've found it's best to book early or you pay loads on ebay! Tons of tips and advice on beermountain if you're interested in camping at le mans. |

This year camping tickets on E bay reached a peak in April but by June prices for the less popular campsites were not selling and even the most popular MB HA and TR campsites were well below previous years prices. Not sure what changes will be announced this year but there will be some. As most campsites are now allocated pitches you will need to book full requirement in one go but at least you np longer have to arrive monday morning to ensure a good spot. |

I got that message too. Wonder if booking procedures will be changed completely? Or will it be same procedure just delayed a few months? Would be nice with a complete on-line booking system, where you pick your seats yourself ....

Still only seeing questions regarding the exact date of the race...
The ACO has confirmed the 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place on June 12-13, 2010. |

I think Daniel Poissenot can be trusted as a reliable source for these dates
Mind you that Le Mans will now be on the opening weekend of World Cup 2010, a week later would put it right in the middle with football matches on tv every day during LM week. |
