never! more like 110.12

jadlamracing on ten tenths can give you a figure from his pi data on a 1:12 lap.

At the risk of upsetting JR by quoting non-single seater data my Midget (fitted with a Pi logger) is pulling 101 MPH across the start/finish line and 118 into the braking area for Quarry. Incidently fastest speed anywhere is the end of the straight at Snetterton which is 121.6 MPH ona day that had a good tailwind. All data available for official scrutiny!!!!

What type of FF? The speeds quoted are presumably for a 1600? MY F Honda 600(Lap Record Holder at Combe in 1m 11.020s) reached a top speed of 125mph. A Zetec would be much more than that, I wpuld think?

I would have thought ~115 mph, maybe 120 with a tow.
But at Snett or Thruxton 125-130 maybe ??
Are you data logging types accounting for tyre growth ??

top speed

The main straight at combe is nearly the same length of the Fareham stretch of A32 near my home, from a recent gatso picture the boys in blue sent my friend recently it is possible to reach 98mph in a zetec fiesta. I hope that helps.

Surely, an FF is doing more than 110 heading towards Avon rise JR. You must be able to throw some more light on this one !!!

Which straight, do you mean into 1st corner (Quarry), in which case I'll guess at 135 mph.

I think Tiptop meant if he was lapping in 1:16 what would his top speed be.

Hard to respond to as you could be the quickest guy out there and pull 127 MPH down the straight but rubbish everywhere else and loose time.

Also Jadlam, can you bring some data logging to Brands, I'd love to have a look at the info you get and how to compare it etc etc.

ARPs are normally pathetically slow on the straights, being outpaced by FF Zetecs.

the top speeds mentioned in jadlams info, is it reasonable to suggest that say as RF90 or a SC93 could go quicker down the straight without the sidepod drag ?
