10 favorite sports racing cars

This may have been done before, but we've had a thread for best drivers, so I thought we could use one for top ten favorite cars.
Here's mine:
1-Corvette C6.R GTE
2-Corvette C6.R GT1 (A little repetitive, but they are different!)
3-1963 Corvette Grand Sport (Unsuccessful but still really cool)
4-Chapparal 2
5-Scarab
6-Chapparal 2F
7-Aston Martin DBR9 (They made an awesome enemy!)
8-2001 Bentley Speed 8
9-Porsche 917K (Because of LeMans, of course)
10-2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR (Particularly in Falken Tire colors, but mostly for the exhaust pop they all made coming out of the Carousel at Road America!)

If we include Super GT cars as sports cars, I would have put the Honda NSX and Honda HSV-010 Super GT cars high on my list.

It's tough to go through all the different generations of GT's and Proto's and come up with just 10, most that've been mentioned above would feature but I can't narrow it down so I'll say just one...

Aston Martin AMR1 - beautiful to look at and one of the most aggressive sounding cars I've ever heard, always sends chills down my spine when I see it in videos and maybe one day I will be fortunate enough to see it on track in CER.

Well, this is a dificult one. In no particular order, here goes.
1. 1970 Porsche 917LH (no partial wheel spats and curves intact)
2. 1957 Aston Martin DBR-1
3. 1957 Maserati 450S
4. 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO (the '62-63 variant, design changed some for '64)
5. 1967 Ford GT40 Mk.IV
6. 1966 Ferrari 330 P3/4 (both the '66 P3 and '67 P4)
7. 1973 Porsche 917/30
8. 1992 Mazda RX-792P
9. 2001 Bentley EXP Speed 8
10. 2004 Maserati MC12

Honorable mentions go to:
1. 1960 Maserati Tipo 61 "Birdcage"
2. 1992 Peugeot 905 Evo 1 Bis
3. 1991 Jaguar XJR-14 (both Group C and GTP variants)
4. 1989 Sauber-Mercedes C9
5. 1982 Porsche 956/962 (all variants)
6. 2008 Epsilon Euskadi ee1
7. 2009 Lola-Aston Martin
8. 1998 Panoz GTR-1
9. 1999 Panoz LMP-1 Roadster (all variants)
10. 1955 Lancia D25 (never raced)
11. 1972 Gulf Mirage M6 Weslake Coupe (never raced)
12. 1955 Mercedes Benz 300 SLR
13. 1954 Jaguar D-Type (all variants, and the XKSS)
14. 1966 Chaparral 2E
15. Dodge Viper GTS-R (both generations)
16. 1995 McLaren F1 GTR (all variants, including longtail)

A few wild British specials I quite like:
1. TVR Cerbera Speed 12 GT1
2. Marcos LM600 GT2
3. Lister-Jaguar Costin GT Coupe

Jeez, and how did I forget the 1970 Ferrari 512S?! Gah!! I think that one bumps the Maserati MC12 off the Top 10 list.

(I also have a soft spot for the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/2, the more curvaceous versions.)

Finally a couple fans with tastes (or ages) similar to mine.

Ferrari 512S/M
Ferrari 312P/PB
Porsche 908 (any open-cockpit version)
Porsche 907
Birdcage Maserati (Tipo 65, if I recall)
Maserati 450S

Ford GT40 (MK IV)
Cobra Daytona
Ferrari P3/4

And the Matra 630–670, particularly the long-tail 670. And the Renault A441–443, cars only I seem to like. And every 2-series Chaparral, and the McLaren M6A … Lola T70 coupe … and roadster … and the Porsche 910 … and the Le mans-winning Bentley … why only ten, this will never work.

That's actually the Kremer K8 (in Gulf colors). The Gunnar 966 was a different build.

You look at the Kremer there and it's incredible how far sports prototypes have come in a short space of time. You look at that design and there's not a lot going on in terms of aero! The evolution in F1 hasn't been quite as spectacular IMO. Sorry to go off topic! Just thinking about what I'd put in mine...

I think you only need to look at the original 2007-2008 908 or R10, they look so primitive, and that isn't even that many years ago. Actually only proves how little they evolved in the early 2000s with no factory battles and no need to find the limits of the regulations.
