Retro Silly Season : Supercars Edition

I've stumbled upon similar threads from this forum from other racing series (F1, IndyCar, BTCC etc), so I've figured I've bring it to here instead.

With this, I've also compiled a whole spreadsheet of these "almost-moves" from various racing series, including this too. Here's a few that I've found particularly intriguing:

- Post-Champ Car, Will Power had entered discussions about taking the #4 Stone Brothers drive for 2009 until the Team Penske seat came knocking about in Indycar.

- Mark Webber was approached by Tom Walkinshaw about an enduro drive for the 2000 Bathurst 1000, but turned it down to focus on F3000.

- Paul Dumbrell had originally announced his retirement from FT racing after 2010 : Steven Richards was going to replace him in the #55 Bottle-O car before he held back this decision for another year.
