WHAT THE???? The imbecile in the #115 Z4 should be banned from racing altogether, for life. Or better, locked in a cage.

It seems they are going to let him finish the race! I had no idea DSC was such a joke.

A C5-R Corvette tried to overtake a red/black BMW Z4 GT3 #115 on the inside under braking in the tight right hander (T10, Audi 'S' bocht). The BMW turned into him leaving no room, despite its nose aero falling apart the C5-R completed the overtake, then the BMW driver cut the T11 to catch up on the Vette and blatantly put him in the wall very hard. The Vette was in bits, BMW drove on to finish the race like nothing happened. I was like... WTF? Is this for real?

Quite ridiculous really. Even in any respectable simracing league the guy would get a permanent ban for unsporting behavior.

The damage to the Vette isn't as bad as I first thought. But that Z4 is a tank, and he drove it like one too.

Jan Storm, the #115 BMW driver, was DQed during the race for this ridiculous incident.

Good.

That crash got me thinking though. How do they repair cars like the C5-R? Do they have all the tooling to produce spare parts to P&M's spec?

If they have enough money to run the cars, I should think they have enough money to pay P&M to continue producing spare parts.

I was thinking that exact thing whilst watching the bodywork fly off the Corvette.

Most cars are insured. I know the C5-R is atleast, and probably the BMW to. So the Insuranc of the BMW car have to pay for the damage of the C5-R.

Normally, racecar insurance only covers the drivers car not the other car(s) in a racing accident. I have never heard of a racecar policy where if you have an accident all cars are covered.

Some of you might have found it already, but this is the Supercar Challenge official youtube account.
The SBS6 part contains the Dutch tv broadcasts, EXQI is Belgian and Motors TV has English race reports.

I hope you'll enjoy it!
