Series auto parts supplier Advance, oh and now it's the Advance Auto checkered flag so that's dumb. And this bit is funny: "Along with the flag carrying Advance’s name, race-winning IndyCar drivers will have a new incentive to “strategically use ‘advance’ as a verb in their post-race interviews. Advance will gift winning drivers a cash prize to be donated to a charity of their choosing.”" |

IndyCar is getting greener, as Shell will be supplying the series with 100% renewable race fuel, which they tested at The Thermal Club open test on Feb 2-3. It is derived from the waste portion of sugarcane and sourced from Brazil.

16 drivers were testing at Barber Motorsports Park, Alabama, with Scott McLaughlin setting the fastest time of 66.222s.
