The final entry list to the 2005 World Supersport championship has been released with some amendments to the provisional list, which was released towards the end of January.

Stephan Chambon will now compete in the championship aboard a Honda CBR600RR, carrying the number eight.

Christophe Cogan has been named as the sole Moto1 Suzuki. The team had planned to run two riders this season but seems they have been limited to only one.

Honda Israel, who had hoped to enter Eli Chen and another rider will no longer be taking part in the 2005 WSS championship.

I think VD Goorbergh is probably going to take this years championship personally. He did a good job last year and ran Muggeridge close all year, of course someone else could beat him but id put my money on Goorbergh or Parkes as a outsider.

Where did Fabien Foret go? Wasn't he meant to be Fabrizio's teammate on the Megabike Honda?

it's interesting that Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra is still here in WSS
Katsu wrote on his personal site, that "next year Suzuki Alstare has made the decision not to compete in the 600cc class and I still have my heart set on taking out the Supersports championship so I had no choice but to change teams"
i wonder why they decided to drop Chambon & Fuji then, if they are still here...

Maybe Alstare have scaled back their support for the series, and had to hire a cheaper rider? It's a shame Fabrizio and Nannelli won't be competing at a higher level, but at least there's a fairly strong field with several genuine title contenders, although JvdG is favourite.
